Minister of Energy of Ukraine Svitlana Grynchuk, together with Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov, inspected energy facilities in the Kharkiv region that were damaged as a result of Russian shelling.

Under the co-chairmanship of Svitlana Grynchuk and Oleh Syniehubov, a coordination meeting of the regional headquarters for emergency response was held with the participation of heads of the National Police, State Emergency Service, Security Service of Ukraine, the Prosecutor’s Office, Kharkivoblenergo, and representatives of local communities.

“I heard reports on the progress of restoration works. We coordinated further actions and identified immediate priorities,” said Svitlana Grynchuk.

According to the Minister, repair crews from Ukrenergo, regional power distribution companies, and generation enterprises, together with the State Emergency Service, began restoration work as soon as it became safe.

“The situation remains challenging. However, I want to emphasize that energy workers are doing everything possible to stabilize the system and restore power to Ukrainian homes as quickly as possible. Last night, Ukraine’s Defense Forces intercepted dozens of missiles and hundreds of Shaheds. At the same time, intercepting ballistic missiles is an extremely difficult task, as only a few systems in the world are capable of countering such threats. We continue to work with our partners to strengthen air defence for energy facilities,” the Minister noted.

At the Minister’s instruction, First Deputy Minister Artem Nekrasov and Deputy Minister Mykola Kolisnyk, together with other services, are coordinating electricity restoration efforts in several regions, including Poltava and Kyiv regions.

The Minister expressed her gratitude to every energy worker and rescuer working across Ukraine’s energy facilities.

“I thank the Armed Forces of Ukraine for protecting us and our energy infrastructure. The military, energy workers, and rescuers together hold this frontline, and for the fourth year in a row, they have not allowed the enemy to plunge Ukraine into darkness,” wrote Svitlana Grynchuk.
