Energy Ministers of Ukraine and Lithuania Discussed Cooperation to Strengthen the Energy Resilience of Both Countries

On the sidelines of the EU Energy Ministers’ meeting in Warsaw, Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko held a bilateral meeting with Minister of Energy of the Republic of Lithuania Žygimantas Vaičiūnas.

The parties discussed the current situation in Ukraine’s energy sector and the needs of the industry in the context of the ongoing russian attacks on energy infrastructure facilities.

German Galushchenko expressed his gratitude to Lithuania for the assistance provided since the first days of the full-scale russian invasion, particularly the equipment supplied for the restoration of facilities damaged by russian attacks.

Special attention was devoted to areas of cooperation aimed at strengthening the energy security of both countries and the European continent as a whole.
