On the sidelines of the EU Energy Ministers’ meeting in Warsaw, Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko held a bilateral meeting with Marc Ferracci, Minister of Industry and Energy of the French Republic.
The parties discussed avenues of cooperation aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s energy resilience and enhancing energy security.
The Ukrainian Energy Minister expressed his gratitude to France for the support provided to Ukraine’s energy sector since the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion, including the supply of equipment and contributions to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund.
They also discussed the status of energy projects implemented under the Ukraine Support Fund, financed by the Government of France.
Particular attention was paid to cooperation in the nuclear sector. German Galushchenko emphasized that nuclear generation is a backbone of Ukraine’s energy mix and that the development of this sector is of special importance for the country. Therefore, deepening cooperation with French partners is extremely important.
