On 11 November, an emergency occurred at the Inhulska mine of the State Enterprise Eastern Mining and Processing Plant (SE SkhidGZK). A hydraulic backfill mixture broke through into an underground working of a depleted block, resulting in the flooding of the mine level.
At the time of the incident, four employees of Svitex LLC were present in the affected section. Two workers were able to exit the danger zone on their own. As of 14:00 on 12 November, the whereabouts of the remaining two workers are still unknown.
Emergency rescue operations are currently ongoing with the involvement of personnel and equipment from the State Emergency Service (SES) and the Inhulska mine of SkhidGZK.
In accordance with labour legislation, a dedicated commission will be established to investigate the incident.
