The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has extended the validity of the Regulation on the Imposition of Special Obligations on Participants of the Electricity Market to Ensure Public Interests in the Functioning of the Electricity Market until 30 April 2026.
“In the context of the difficult economic situation caused by the full-scale military aggression of the Russian Federation, there is a need to continue supporting the population from a significant increase in electricity prices. Therefore, by the Government’s decision, we are extending the PSO (Public Service Obligation) mechanism in the electricity market until the end of April next year,” said Minister of Energy of Ukraine Svitlana Grynchuk.
Thanks to this decision, after 31 October 2025, the fixed electricity price for household consumers will remain at UAH 4.32 per kWh, while a preferential tariff of UAH 2.64 per kWh will continue to apply for certain categories of consumers using electric heating systems, provided their monthly consumption between 1 October 2025 and 30 April 2026 does not exceed 2000 kWh.
