During his working visit to the Dnipropetrovsk region, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Energy of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, together with the Head of the Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha, visited one of the region’s coal mines.

During the visit, they met with the mine’s management and staff to discuss current challenges and urgent needs, while coordinating further cooperation in preparation for the upcoming autumn-winter period.

Denys Shmyhal thanked the workers for their professionalism and courage and presented honorary awards to miners and energy workers.

“Despite repeated enemy attacks, they continue to work tirelessly to provide the country with electricity and heat,” Denys Shmyhal said.

The First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Energy also reviewed the working conditions created for veterans with disabilities. According to him, developing a barrier-free working environment is an integral part of the Government’s broader efforts to support veterans returning to civilian life after military service.

“Our task is to create comfortable working conditions so that veterans choose careers in the energy sector after completing their service. People are at the heart of Ukraine’s energy resilience. We value everyone’s contribution. Light will prevail!” the Minister stressed.
