The task of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine is not only to repair facilities damaged by the enemy, but also to build a new architecture of the energy system—more protected, more flexible, more market-oriented, and more integrated with Europe. The state expects the business community to play an important role in this process.

This was emphasized by First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal during a meeting of the Council for Entrepreneurship Support, chaired by Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Budanov and attended by Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko.

The Minister of Energy outlined to participants the plans for restoring the power system and developing generation capacity.

“In particular, the Government has updated the rules for tenders for the construction of new generation, and the tender will be announced shortly. We expect this to add approximately 1.3 GW to the power system,” he noted.

Denys Shmyhal thanked entrepreneurs for their responsibility during these challenging times for the country and подчеркнул that the Ministry of Energy counts on fruitful cooperation in building Ukraine’s new energy system.
