During a working visit to Kherson region, First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Energy of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal visited key energy infrastructure facilities.

The Minister reviewed the progress of second-level protective structures being installed at energy facilities and discussed with local management the need for additional funding to ensure the timely completion of the works.

According to Denys Shmyhal, the works are currently progressing according to schedule. The Government has allocated more than UAH 69.5 million for the reconstruction and construction of protective infrastructure in Kherson region.

Special attention was also given to supplying the region with critically needed equipment.

“The Ministry of Energy continues to support Kherson region. Since 2022, energy companies in the region have received 748.1 tonnes of humanitarian assistance from the Ministry’s logistics hubs. In 2026 alone, Kherson region has already received 28.6 tonnes of assistance, including transformers, generators, batteries, vehicles and specialised equipment — everything needed to maintain the region’s energy supply,” Denys Shmyhal said.

The Minister also expressed his gratitude to the energy workers of Kherson region for their professionalism and daily dedication, which help the region maintain the resilience of its energy system despite extremely challenging conditions.
