Denys Shmyhal held a meeting with experts from the American Enterprise Institute, where the parties discussed the restoration and modernization of Ukraine’s power system, as well as strengthening its protection and resilience.
“Ukraine is currently building a new energy architecture — decentralized, flexible, and resilient to both physical and cyber threats. The development of distributed generation, implementation of smart grids, energy storage, integration of renewable sources, and diversification of energy supply have become key instruments of our energy security,” Denys Shmyhal noted.
Particular attention was paid to the introduction of innovative technologies and potential infrastructure projects that could strengthen energy security not only in Ukraine but across Europe. The discussions also covered new opportunities, attracting investment, and scaling up cooperation with partners.
Denys Shmyhal thanked the experts for a substantive exchange of views.
