First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Energy of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal held a meeting with a mission of the International Monetary Fund, headed by Gavin Gray. The parties discussed the situation in the power system and preparations for the upcoming heating season.
During the meeting, Denys Shmyhal emphasized that Ukraine is working on the restoration and protection of energy infrastructure, the development of decentralized generation and cogeneration, the establishment of equipment reserves, and continues corporate governance reform of state-owned energy enterprises.
“We are working closely with the IMF to implement our priorities and strengthen the resilience of the power system ahead of the next winter period. We are grateful to the Fund for its unwavering support since the beginning of the full-scale war,” the First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Energy of Ukraine stressed.
