First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal held a meeting with representatives of a Finnish business delegation comprising defence and technology companies.

The meeting focused on the protection of Ukraine’s energy facilities, including strengthening air defence capabilities and implementing new engineering solutions.

“The experience and technological capabilities of Finnish companies are important to us. We are working on specific innovations that will help strengthen the protection of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, including solutions to counter hostile ballistic missiles and drones,” Denys Shmyhal emphasized.

The First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Energy thanked Finland for its consistent support for Ukraine. The total volume of assistance provided since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale war has already reached €4.6 billion.

According to Denys Shmyhal, during the meeting Ukraine proposed establishing a joint working track with Finland to translate the current dialogue into concrete pilot projects. The parties also discussed cooperation in both the public and private sectors.

“Ukraine is ready to provide the necessary regulatory, security and logistical support to Finnish companies that establish production or service facilities in Ukraine,” the Minister of Energy emphasized.
