The Minister of Energy of Ukraine, German Galushchenko, held a bilateral meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Energy, Business, and Industry of Sweden, Ebba Busch.
"We have already endured our third wartime winter. We thank Sweden for its continuous support of Ukraine’s energy sector from the very first days of the full-scale invasion. This support plays a significant role both in restoring our infrastructure and in the further development of the energy sector in Ukraine and throughout Europe," said German Galushchenko.
The parties discussed the cooperation between the countries and the prospects for its deepening in the nuclear sector to strengthen the resilience of the energy system. They also addressed the issue of enhancing energy security for both Ukraine and Europe as a whole, as well as future prospects for implementing the "green" transition.
Additionally, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine and the Ministry of Climate and Enterprise of Sweden, represented by their leadership, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on establishing a partnership on energy and the "green" transition in the field of nuclear energy and the "green" transition.
The purpose of the Memorandum is to promote energy security, emergency preparedness, and the sustainable development of energy systems.
