The purchased equipment includes solutions for strengthening electricity networks, supporting generating capacities, modernising energy infrastructure, enhancing the resilience of the power system, as well as materials for protecting energy facilities and carrying out emergency restoration works.
In addition, during May, Ukrainian energy companies received equipment procured through the Fund under previously signed contracts worth approximately €8.5 million. This included equipment and materials required to support the stable operation, recovery, and development of energy infrastructure.
International partners also announced new contributions to the Fund in May. Norway will provide €40 million to support Ukraine’s energy resilience, while Italy will allocate an additional €10 million for the restoration of energy infrastructure.
Overall, the Ukraine Energy Support Fund has already received grant contributions amounting to nearly €1.93 billion from 39 foreign donors representing 26 partner countries and three international organisations.
