The Chernihiv region has received 18.78 tonnes of energy equipment and materials from the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine’s emergency energy assistance hubs to support the operation of the region’s energy infrastructure.
The assistance was provided with the support of the Austrian Federal Ministry of the Interior, as well as the Swedish energy companies UPPLANDS ENERGI EKONOMISK FÖRENING and E.ON Energidistribution AB, and the Lithuanian company AB Energijos skirstymo operatorius.
The shipment includes 22 oil-filled power transformers and transformer oil. The equipment will be used for repair and restoration works and to ensure a stable electricity supply for consumers in the Chernihiv region.
International assistance enables Ukrainian energy workers to restore damaged infrastructure more rapidly and strengthen the resilience of the power system amid continued Russian attacks.
We thank Austria, Sweden and Lithuania for supporting the Chernihiv region and Ukraine’s energy sector.
