The Government of Canada has contributed an additional €12.4 million to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine, bringing its total contribution to over €57 million. These funds are already being directed toward urgent needs of energy companies, as well as repair and restoration of energy infrastructure across the country in preparation for the upcoming autumn-winter period.
“Grateful to Canada for its consistent support of Ukraine. This assistance is critically important for ensuring the resilience of our power system amid ongoing Russian attacks and for strengthening the country’s energy security ahead of the heating season. I also thank the Energy Community Secretariat for its effective coordination of the Fund’s activities, and personally Artur Lorkowski for his leadership and productive cooperation,” said First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal.
Since 2022, the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine has been working with international partners to ensure rapid response to the consequences of attacks on the energy system, as well as its swift restoration and strengthening. Around 30% of the Fund’s total contributions—€663 million—have been provided since November 2025, demonstrating strong solidarity with Ukraine and trust in the Fund as a transparent and effective support instrument.
Currently, equipment worth approximately €260 million is en route to Ukraine and is expected to arrive ahead of the drop in temperatures.
