- As of the morning of 7 January, the situation in Ukraine’s energy system remains challenging due to ongoing Russian strikes, but it is under control. Last night, the enemy attacked energy infrastructure facilities in Dnipropetrovsk region, resulting in power outages as of this morning. Emergency restoration works are ongoing.
- Following restoration efforts, electricity supply has been fully restored in the city of Slavutych, which had been affected by an attack the previous day. The city now has power again.
- Due to damages caused by previous missile and drone attacks, the distribution system operator continues to apply network restrictions in Odesa region. Emergency restoration works in the region are ongoing.
- In some of the most energy-deficient regions, the situation is gradually improving. This has been made possible thanks to the work of repair crews and the review of actual lists of critical infrastructure facilities.
- Due to adverse weather conditions, as of the morning, power outages remain in Kyiv and Zakarpattia regions. Repair crews are working to restore electricity supply.
