On Christmas night, the enemy continued attacks on Ukraine’s energy system. As a result, consumers are without power in Chernihiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Odesa regions (in Odesa, outages are due to previous attacks). Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore all damaged equipment and reconnect all consumers as quickly as possible. Emergency repair and restoration work continues around the clock.
Today, hourly outage schedules and capacity limitation schedules for businesses are applied across all regions of Ukraine. Current schedules are available on the official websites of regional distribution system operators.
To ensure stable electricity supply to the population during the heating season under these difficult conditions, the government adopted a series of decisions at yesterday’s session. These include, in particular, strengthening oversight of compliance with electricity and heat supply regulations and completion of the competition for the construction of new generation capacity.
Our goal is to prevent the enemy from leaving Ukrainians without light and heat!
More details on the energy system situation can be found in the briefing by State Secretary of the Ministry of Energy Serhii Suyarko.
