- In recent weeks, Russia has intensified its attacks on energy infrastructure. The enemy is targeting energy equipment and high-voltage transmission networks that carry electricity between regions. As a result, the power system has temporarily lost some of its capacity to transmit electricity to consumers.
- Russian attacks are making repair work more difficult. As soon as the security situation allows, energy workers begin restoring damaged equipment to reconnect consumers as quickly as possible.
- Yesterday, a Russian attack on an energy facility in Sumy Region killed one energy worker and injured three others. The injured workers were taken to hospital, where they are receiving the necessary medical care. We extend our sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased. Sadly, energy workers pay an extremely high price to keep Ukrainian homes supplied with electricity — sometimes with their own lives.
- As of this morning, Russian attacks on energy infrastructure have temporarily left some consumers without electricity in Kyiv and Kyiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Chernihiv and Kharkiv regions.
- Damage to equipment and voltage drops in the high-voltage grid have made emergency power outages necessary in some districts of Kyiv and Kyiv Region. The previously published outage schedules are temporarily suspended in these areas. Predictable schedules will resume once the situation in the power system stabilises.
- Hourly outage schedules for all categories of consumers and capacity restriction schedules for industry and businesses are in effect in a number of regions today. Updated schedules are available through the official channels of regional distribution system operators.
- Updates on the consequences of attacks and the state of the power system are published exclusively through official channels, without unnecessary detail. Please rely only on verified sources and do not share material that could help the enemy.
