- Due to ongoing hostilities and Russian attacks on energy infrastructure, some consumers in the Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions remain temporarily without electricity supply. Energy workers continue restoration efforts around the clock to restore power to Ukrainian households as quickly as possible.
- Yesterday, in Zaporizhzhia, an employee of a gas distribution company was injured when an enemy FPV drone struck public transport. The injured employee was hospitalized and is receiving the necessary medical treatment.
- Adverse weather conditions have also left nearly 600 settlements without electricity in the Volyn, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Lviv, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv regions. Repair crews are already working to restore electricity supply.
- As a result of the damage caused by Russian attacks, combined with abnormally hot weather that has significantly increased electricity consumption, power restrictions for industry and businesses, as well as scheduled hourly outage schedules for all categories of consumers, equivalent to up to one outage group, are being applied nationwide today from 17:00 to 22:00.
- Consumers are encouraged, where possible, to use electricity-intensive appliances during daytime hours, from 10:00 to 15:00, and to reduce electricity consumption during the evening peak demand period, from 16:00 to 23:00. This will help reduce pressure on the power system and avoid the need for more stringent restrictions.
More information on the current operational situation in Ukraine's power system is available in the briefing by First Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Artem Nekrasov.
