Briefing by the Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Oleksandr Viazovchenko, on the situation in the power system as of the morning of 31 December

- The enemy carried out drone attacks on energy facilities in several regions of Ukraine. As a result of the attacks, a significant number of consumers in Donetsk oblast were left without electricity. New power outages were also recorded in Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv oblasts. Power restoration has begun where the security situation permits.

- An attack on Odesa oblast has been ongoing since the night. Due to enemy strikes, more than 170,000 consumers were left without electricity. Emergency repair and restoration works are underway, with energy workers making every effort to restore power as quickly as possible.

- In Kyiv oblast, as a result of a massive missile and drone attack on 27 December, approximately 1,000 consumers in Brovary district remain without electricity. At the same time, energy workers have already restored power supply to more than 9,000 residents of the oblast. Restoration works are being carried out around the clock.

- Due to adverse weather conditions, 43 settlements in Khmelnytskyi and Ternopil oblasts are fully or partially without electricity. Repair crews of regional power distribution companies are working to restore damaged lines.
