- Over the past week, the enemy carried out daily attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure facilities. The energy system sustained one massive attack and more than 43 targeted strikes, with approximately 118 cases of network damage recorded. Russia attacked Naftogaz Group facilities four times, including the Kherson Combined Heat and Power Plant (CHPP), which is the city’s sole source of heat supply. Consequence mitigation efforts are ongoing, and one CHPP employee is receiving medical assistance.
- Despite constant attacks, the situation in the energy system remains difficult but under control. The Integrated Power System of Ukraine is intact and continues to operate synchronously with the Continental European power system. Electricity imports are actively used for balancing purposes, along with consumption restriction measures. Emergency crews, technical services, and specialized units are operating in an enhanced режим.
- The latest Russian attack caused significant damage to energy infrastructure in Kyiv Region. Emergency repair and restoration works are ongoing. As of the morning, more than 9,000 consumers in Kyiv Region remain without electricity supply. Emergency outages are in effect on the Left Bank of Kyiv and in certain districts of the region.
- Due to adverse weather conditions, consumers in 215 settlements across several regions are without electricity. To stabilize the operation of the energy system, emergency outages are being applied in certain regions. In other regions, hourly outage schedules and power limitation schedules for industry and business are in place. Consumers can obtain up-to-date information from the official resources of distribution system operators.
More details on the situation in the energy system are available in the briefing by Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Mykola Kolisnyk.
