- The Christmas week begins under mass attacks by the enemy. Last night, the Russian Federation targeted energy facilities in Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zhytomyr regions. By morning, some consumers had electricity restored. Emergency recovery work is ongoing.
- Fuel supply situation: Fuel is being imported into Ukraine through a combination of independent logistics routes, including road, rail, and maritime transport. The situation remains stable and under control.
- Measures continue to be taken to reduce the duration of power outage schedules. Lists of critical infrastructure facilities have been reviewed, freeing up nearly 1 GW of capacity. The government has instructed all responsible parties to ensure the released energy resources are fully directed to meet the needs of the population by 24 December. This step will help balance the energy system and reduce the duration of electricity outages for citizens.
- Deputy Minister Roman Andarak also congratulated all energy sector employees and colleagues from the diplomatic service on their professional holidays – Energy Worker’s Day and Diplomat’s Day: “It is no coincidence that these two professional holidays are celebrated on the same day. Energy diplomacy is an integral part of the energy front, and Ukraine’s energy security directly depends on the support and solidarity of international partners. We thank everyone for coordinated joint work.”
More about the status of the energy system can be found in the briefing by Deputy Minister Roman Andarak.
