The Republic of Azerbaijan has delivered another batch of humanitarian assistance to Ukraine’s energy sector, valued at approximately USD 1 million. The shipment includes five transformers, 11 generators, 12 low-voltage panels, and cable products.
First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal expressed his gratitude to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov for their support and solidarity.
“This substantial assistance will strengthen Ukraine’s energy resilience in the face of constant shelling,” the Minister of Energy emphasized.
Azerbaijan has been supporting Ukraine’s energy sector since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion. Since March 2022, Ukraine has received 143 humanitarian shipments of critically needed equipment, with a total weight exceeding 2,200 tons. This assistance enables Ukrainian energy workers to restore damaged facilities more rapidly and to bring light and heat back to the homes of millions of Ukrainian families.
