The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has extended the implementation of the experimental project on the distribution of humanitarian assistance received in the form of liquefied natural gas for household consumers in frontline regions. The decision was adopted within the framework of the implementation of the Actions Plan of the Government of Ukraine for 2025.
“Due to russian armed aggression and the destruction of distribution networks in the frontline regions, some consumers, unfortunately, do not have access to central heating and gas supply. But Ukraine takes care of its citizens and continues to engage different mechanisms of support. This project has already shown positive results, and we will continue its implementation in the next heating season,” emphasized the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Svitlana Grynchuk.
This initiative was implemented during the autumn-winter period of 2024–2025 in frontline territories. According to the Government’s decision, this heating season the project has been extended to household consumers of Zaporizhzhia region and prolonged until May 1, 2026.
It is envisaged that within the framework of the project the needs of consumers will be covered at the expense of state-owned companies as well as international partners.
For the successful passage of the autumn-winter period of 2025–2026 by the frontline territories, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine initiated the continuation of the experimental project on the distribution of humanitarian assistance received in the form of liquefied gas for household consumers in frontline regions.
