Ukraine received €6 million in grant support from the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine. This brings Australia’s total contribution to the Fund to €24.5 million.

“These funds will be directed to finance the energy sector’s priority needs, taking into account current energy security challenges,” said First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal.

With previous Australian contributions, transformers of various capacities, complete transformer substations, autotransformers, microprocessor relay protection terminals, and other energy equipment have already been procured to ensure the reliability of transmission and distribution networks, as well as to restore and strengthen energy infrastructure.
