Acting Minister of Energy of Ukraine Artem Nekrasov paid a working visit to the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant.

During the visit, Artem Nekrasov, together with Member of Parliament Oleksandr Danutsa and Acting Chairman of the Board of JSC “NNEGC Energoatom” Pavlo Kovtonyuk, inspected critical infrastructure facilities and reviewed the progress of repair and restoration works at the plant, as well as the operation of equipment ensuring the stable functioning of the nuclear facility.

“In the context of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, nuclear power generation remains a key pillar of our energy system. Thanks to the stable operation of nuclear power plants, the country is able to supply electricity for defense needs, critical infrastructure, and consumers. Without nuclear energy, we simply would not have endured these four years of war. I am grateful to nuclear power plant workers for their resilience, professionalism, and dedication, which keep the country functioning,” Artem Nekrasov stated.

Artem Nekrasov also held a meeting with the plant’s management, during which participants discussed the current challenges facing the energy system and ways to further strengthen the sector’s resilience.

In addition, the Acting Minister met with the NPP staff and expressed his appreciation for their professionalism and commitment, emphasizing that their daily work ensures the reliable operation of the energy system even under the most difficult conditions.
