Acting Minister of Energy of Ukraine Artem Nekrasov held a meeting with representatives of the World Bank, during which the participants discussed the current situation in the energy sector, the progress of ongoing joint projects, and opportunities for further cooperation.

Artem Nekrasov underscored that, alongside efforts to eliminate the consequences of recent attacks, the Ministry continues to advance systemic reforms in the management of energy companies in line with European standards.

The meeting paid particular attention to strengthening the protection of energy infrastructure and ensuring the supply of repair equipment needed for the prompt restoration of facilities damaged by shelling. Mr. Nekrasov emphasized that the combination of enhanced physical protection and rapid restoration capabilities remains a key factor in maintaining the stability and resilience of the national energy system.

Representatives of the World Bank reaffirmed their readiness to further deepen cooperation with Ukraine in the energy sector - both within existing programs and through additional support for key enterprises of the fuel and energy complex.

Artem Nekrasov expressed gratitude to the World Bank for its continuous support of Ukraine and for its contributions to strengthening the resilience of the energy system amid wartime challenges.

“The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine highly values its long-standing partnership with the World Bank, particularly within the joint RAMP UP initiative with the EBRD, which we fully support,” he added.
