Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Anatolii Kutsevol met with Muriel Lacoue-Labarthe, Special Envoy of the President of the French Republic for Assistance and Reconstruction of Ukraine.
The meeting focused on priority investment projects in the energy sector that may receive French financing under the Ukraine Fund II Grant Agreement between the Governments of Ukraine and the French Republic.
Anatolii Kutsevol presented eleven priority energy projects, aimed in particular at restoring and strengthening electricity networks, developing energy storage systems, enhancing the resilience of nuclear generation, increasing power system flexibility, and expanding distributed generation capacity.
These initiatives are expected to be implemented through cooperation between French companies and Ukrainian partners, including NPC Ukrenergo, Naftogaz of Ukraine, NNEGC Energoatom, Ukrgasvydobuvannya, as well as regional military administrations and local authorities in frontline regions.
The Deputy Minister also noted that Ukraine looks forward to France's continued support through additional programmes focused on strengthening the physical protection of energy infrastructure, preparing for the upcoming autumn-winter season, and supplying backup energy equipment.
The parties also discussed advocacy efforts and coordination of donor assistance within the G7 and G20 frameworks. In addition, they exchanged views on the participation of French partners in the Ukraine Energy Sector Donor Conference, scheduled for November 2026.
