Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine for European Integration according to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine’s order No. 806-r dated August 1, 2025.

Olha Yukhymchuk was born in 1988 in the city of Rivne.

She holds two higher education degrees in economics and strategic entrepreneurship. She graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with a degree in Enterprise Economics. She also earned a Master of Science degree in Strategic Entrepreneurship from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom.

Olha Yukhymchuk has over ten years of experience in the development and implementation of state policy on climate change, decarbonization, climate adaptation, as well as European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

Since 2012, she has been actively involved in Ukraine’s European integration process, including negotiations on the Association Agreement with the European Union and its subsequent implementation. She is well-versed and has practical experience working with the European Commission, EU member states, EU institutions, and EU decision-making procedures.

From 2012 to 2024, she worked in the field of environmental policy and climate change, including the State Agency for Environmental Investments, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources, and the Government Office for Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration. She coordinated Ukraine’s commitments under international climate agreements (UNFCCC, Kyoto Protocol, Paris Agreement) and participated in and led official Ukrainian delegations at UN climate conferences (COP), including serving as Vice-President of a climate conference.

From 2024 to 2025, she held the position of Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine for European Integration. She coordinated the implementation of the European Green Deal, adaptation of Ukrainian legislation to EU law, as well as cooperation with international organizations and financial institutions.
She has extensive experience in international cooperation. She was the national coordinator (focal point) for international funds such as CIF, GEF, PMR, PMI, and others, including participating in the creation and formation of new international funds and their portfolios. She led and coordinated the implementation of numerous international projects in the fields of climate, decarbonization, energy efficiency, and the implementation of market mechanisms for greenhouse gas emissions reduction.
