Anatolii Korzun

Anatolii Korzun is a mining electrical engineer by profession. He was born in Donetsk region. He obtained his higher education at Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, specializing in Electrification and Automation of Mining Operations. He also graduated from the Institute of Public Administration under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, earning a Master's degree in Public Administration.
In 1983–1984, he worked in his specialty as an underground electrician, deputy site manager, and senior mechanic at the L.I. Lutugin Mine of the Torezantratsyt Production Association.
From 1985, he worked for several years as a leading inspector at the State Mining Technical Supervision Authority of the Ukrainian SSR (Ukraine).
In 1993, he was invited to join the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, where he dealt with issues of the fuel and energy complex, and later coordinated matters related to the coal industry and mining supervision.
In 1999, he was appointed Deputy Minister of the Coal Industry of Ukraine, and in 2000 he worked at the Administration of the President of Ukraine.
Since 2000, Anatolii Korzun has been repeatedly appointed Deputy Minister of Energy and Coal Industry, holding the position during the periods of 2000–2004, 2005–2006, 2007–2010, and 2016–2019.
In addition, in 2005, he briefly worked as First Vice President of the Joint Stock Company National Joint-Stock Company “Coal of Ukraine”. In 2013–2014, he worked at NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine as Director of the Ukrvuhlesyntezhaz State Enterprise.
He has been awarded the Miner’s Glory and Miner’s Valor badges of all three degrees.
He is a laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology.
