Within the framework of the Ukrainian delegation’s participation in the 69th session of the IAEA General Conference in Vienna, Minister of Energy of Ukraine Svitlana Grynchuk held a series of bilateral meetings with the heads of delegations of Belgium, Germany, Canada, Sweden, and Austria.

In particular, at the IAEA headquarters, Svitlana Grynchuk met with Belgium’s Minister of Homeland Security Bernard Quintin and Minister of Energy Mathieu Bihet, Austria’s Government Coordinator for the Reconstruction of Ukraine Wolfgang Anzengruber, Parliamentary State Secretary of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection Rita Schwarzelühr-Sutter, Sweden’s State Secretary for Foreign Affairs Dag Hartelius, and Canada’s Associate Deputy Minister of Natural Resources Jeff Labonté.

“The focus of the dialogue was on the current situation in Ukraine’s energy system, the consequences of Russia’s latest attacks, and the preparation of the energy sector for the winter. Among urgent issues are the stability of Ukraine’s nuclear generation and the prevention of nuclear threats in the context of russia’s large-scale aggression. With colleagues, we discussed the current situation at the ZNPP and outlined further possible vectors of cooperation. I am grateful to partners for their expressed readiness to continue supporting Ukraine. For the further development of the dialogue, I invited colleagues to take part in the ReBuild Ukraine conference, which will take place in November in Warsaw,” noted Svitlana Grynchuk.
