As part of the meeting of the Council of Energy Ministers of the EU member states held in Brussels, the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, German Galushchenko, held a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Climate and Energy of the Kingdom of Denmark, Lars Aagaard.
The parties discussed the deepening of cooperation within the framework of the Ukrainian-Danish Energy Partnership, particularly regarding support for the energy sector and the restoration of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, which has suffered destruction and damage due to ongoing targeted Russian attacks.
German Galushchenko emphasized the importance of successfully implemented projects for the restoration of damaged energy infrastructure. In particular, the Ukrainian-Danish partnership enables the coverage of critical needs for the population in the Mykolaiv region.
The discussion also covered areas for expanding cooperation in the development of renewable energy in Ukraine, especially wind generation, and the use of Danish experience in this field. The parties agreed to continue cooperation in these areas, as well as on issues of cybersecurity for energy information infrastructure facilities.
